FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do you calculate pricing?

We charge $60 per cubic yard for general trash, debris, and overflow. Bulk items (like sofas, mattresses, appliances) are priced separately based on type, size, and handling. We’ll always send you a clear quote before we begin any work.

2. Can you give me an estimate before arriving?

Yes — send us photos and details through our quote form (or via email/text). We’ll review them and give you a ballpark estimate. If the job is complex, we’ll finalize the cost after a quick on-site assessment.

3. Do I have to move items to the curb?

Nope. Our crew can haul from inside your units, garages, yards, or wherever the items are locate, provided there’s safe access. You just point out what you want gone, and we’ll take care of the rest.

4. What items do you not accept?

We do not accept hazardous waste (paints, chemicals, asbestos, etc.), tires (unless prearranged), wet liquids, or items that require special disposal (e.g. certain chemicals or regulated waste). If you’re unsure, just ask us in advance — we’re happy to help you figure it out.

5. What happens to my trash and recyclables?

We follow Greenville County’s guidelines. Recyclable materials (cardboard, metals, plastics where accepted) are delivered to the Greenville County Recycling Center in Simpsonville. Everything else is properly disposed of in the Greenville County Landfill.

6. How quickly can you perform a pickup?

We offer same-day or next-day pickups when our schedule and routes allow. When you request a quote, let us know your urgency, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

7. Do you have any minimum charges or fees?

Yes. For very small loads (under 1 cubic yard), a we still charge $60 to cover our mobilization and labor costs. We’ll always disclose that up-front in your quote.

8. What about holiday schedules or service interruptions?

We observe major holidays (New Year’s, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas). If your pickup day falls on or right after a holiday, service may be delayed by one day.

9. Do I need to be present during the pickup?

Normally no. If the items are accessible (outside or in a garage), you can leave instructions. But if items are inside a locked space, we’ll need access or someone present. We’ll work with you to figure this out during scheduling.

10. Are you insured?

Absolutely. Greenville Trash Service is fully insured. Our crews are trained professionals, and we take safety seriously—for your property and ours.

11. Do you offer recurring/contract services for HOAs or apartment communities?

Yes, many of our clients prefer scheduled maintenance sweeps or overflow plans. We’d be happy to set up recurring service or bundled contracts for multi-family communities, HOAs, or property managers.

12. Can I schedule an emergency or off-hours pickup?

In many cases, yes. We offer priority/emergency options (weekends or off-hours) for extra fees. Reach out early, and we’ll see what we can do.
